A oaole message from Melbourne announces the death of Captain G. Mylius, formerly master of the illfated .barquentine La Bella. That vessel, it will be remembered, was ashore on the Ilappy Valley beach, oear Wellington, and was subsequently wrecked on a reef outside Warrnambool breakwater whilst attempting to enter the harbour during a gale on November 10th last year. Seven of the crew were drowned and five were saved. Captain Mylius never recovered from the shock occasioned by the disaster. He was a native of Finland, and came out to the colonies as mate of the La Bella about half a dozen years ago. He was in command of her for about four years.
