J. C. WILLIAMSON'S CO. - a Mr J. 0. Williamson's famous Comic' Opera Company will appear in Maaterton, for one night only, on Tuesday, June 12tb next. The production is Messrs Gilbe.t and Sullivan's romantic comio opera, "The Gondoliers." "The Gondoliers" is happily put together, and shows this talented company in one of their best effort?, in "The Gondoliers" will be witnessed Mr Charles . Etnningham as Marco Palmiera, a character whicb he oreated in the original production at the Savoy Theatre, London, and his singing of "Take a Pair of Sparkling Eyes" has everywhere been enthusiastically encored. Mr Franu Wilson appears as Guiseppe Palmiera, which gives himjevery opportunity to display his rich baritone voice. The old favourite, Mr Howard Vernon, will "take the .part of the Grand Inquisitor. Miss Dolly OastWa and Misa Aggie Thorn, as Gianetta and Tisaa, respectively, are said to be the best exponents "of the oharaotera'since they were played by the late Miss . Violet Varley and Miss Flora Granp,ner. Miss Castles ifas every oppoitunity of revealing ber brilliant soprano voice. Miss Celia Ghiloni will take the -part of the Duchess. Miss Vinnia de JLoitte, as Casilda, has a good singing part". There is also a powerful chorus of over fifty voiues. The whole performance is under the supervision of Mr Henry Bracy. OUR LITTLE DINNERS. ' A ONE AND SIXPENNY DINNEIt. 1. Stuff ed'sheep' % heart and vegetables. , 2. Golden pudding. Recipes. ~1. Take three good sized hearts, wash and dry ; stuff with mixture made of bread crumbs, chopped onion, an ounce cf chopped suet* sage and salt, moisten with an egg. Mix a quarter of a pound of finely chopped suet with half a pound of bread crumbs, a pinch of salt, half a teaspoonful of baking powder and two tablespoonsfui of marmalade. - 1 Bind •with tv/o eggs and a little milk.
