Lamb market— During the week prices sp«m to have touched the bottom. The shipments arriving are very heavy. The Australian stock is "almost exhausted. The average price for Canterbury lamb to-day is 4%d. The beef nmket is quiet. The average prices ruling are "&%<\ and 2 %& for hied and fore quarters, respectively. Of hindquarters there is a limited supply. Butter market—The weather continues unfavourable for Home production, timall supplies are on hand. Tho price of choicest New Zealand butter is 102 a, -Danish, 109 a, Siberian 96s per owt. > The cheese market is firm, and there is a good demand for all descriptions. Prices are advancing. White supplies are decreasing and are quoted at Cos per cwfc; coloured makes are in large supply. There are signs of improvement in the hemp market, which is steady. The average prico g.f.a.q. Wellington, un spot, to-day, is £3l 10s per ton. The cocksfoot eeod market is quiet. Price of 171b bright clean seed is 47s per cwt.
