HOCKEY.
W.F.O.A. v, CARTERTON. The W.RO.A. team journeyed to Carterton, yesterday and met the looal team, tfi6 match resulting in a win for Carterton by three goals to one. The ground was very wet. The game was a very evenly contested one. , As usual, the Fisher Bros rendered the most service to the winning side, and Riohards, Minett, Fairbrother and Bannister played exceptionally well for the losing team.
KIA KAHA B v. EKETAHUNA.
Kia Kaha ts team was defeated at Eketahuna yesterday by the looal team by three goals to two goals.
WAIRARAP* LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of delegates from the various ladies' hookey clubs in the Wairarapa was held in the Methodist Schoolroom, yesterday afternoon, when there were present:—Misses McGregor, Smith end McHattie {Glengarry), Jackson and Elliott (District High School), Hooper and Smith (Huia), Carpenter, Berximan and Moore (Raupo), Candy and Benton (Featherston), Beard and Humphries (Greytown). An apology was reoeived. from the Carterton Clab for not sending a delegate. Mr J. B. Roe presided.
The. Chairman explained the objects of the proposed Association, and the advantages to be gained therefrom.
It was decided on the motion of Mies Humphries, and seconded by Miss Berriman, "that a Wairarapa Ladies' Hookey Association be formed."
The affiliation fee to the Association was fixed at 10s, and it was decided that the Association colours be navy bine, with white bailor collar and knot, and navy blue caps. • The .following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—President, Mr W. C. Buchanan; Vice-Presi-dents, Dr. Bey and Messrs J. Maoara, P. L. Hollings, W. H. Jaokson, J. Brown, D. McGregor and J. W. Card; Postponement Committee, Misses Molloy, Trotman, Carpenter and Benton; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J. B. Rue.
It was deoided to commence the Association matches on Thursday, June 14th, and a round of fixtures were drawn up, , It was deoided to play under the rules and by-laws' of the Wairarapa Hookey Association.
HQIA v. GKEYTOWN. At Lansdowne yesterday, tho Huia and Greytown Ladies Clubs met, and despite the fact that rain fell during nearly the whole of the game, the match was a fast and interesting one. Greytown gave evidence of being the stronger teaa. They attacked for a considerable portion of the game, and eventually won by two goals to nil. Mies Humphries' scored during the first spell, and in tbo second Miss Keedw ell sored a beautiful goal from a free For the winners Misses Humphries, Keedwell and E. Brunton played excellently, while foi the Huias Misses Rita Hooper, D. La Roche, L. Barber and M. Wa(? B rendered valuable assistance. Mr J. B. Ruo was referee.
The members of the Glengarry and Raupo Hockey Olubs held a successful practice at Fraser's pad- , dock, yesterday afternoon. Mr F. Richards was referee. The Featherston Ladies' Club have decided to change the name of the Club to "Paka Koura;" also that the colours shall be brown and gold.
