A VOTE REJECTED. Received May 28, 9.30 a.tuf BERLIN, May 27. The Reichstag by 143 voles to 119, rejected the vote for the salary of the Secretary of the Colonies. (The Progressive Party in Germany has for some time oonduoted a campaign against [the colonial policy of that country. It is argued that a large sum of money has been expended with infinitesimal resultß). Reoeived May 28, 9.46 p.m. BERLIN, May 28. The Reibstag has also refused to vote a sum of money for the German South-west African Railway because of the dissatisfaction at tbe eonduot of Colonial affairs.
