' The total population of the city of Dunedin is 36,068, shewing an increase of 560 over the 1901 census. The total increase of population for Dunedin suburbs is 4,685. Maori Hill borough 1,887, increase 337; Mornington, 4,148, increase 141; North-east Valley 4,379, increase 852; Roslyn, 5,439, inorease 807; St. Kilda, 2,580, inorease 880; West Harbour, 1,514, increase 49; Anderson's Bay (Road District) 1,060. NAPIER, May 23. . The census returns for Napier give the population as 9,484, exolusive of a shipping return not available at present. This is an increase of 710 since the census of 1901. ■"■■ .us
