(From Oar Own Correspondent). Tuesday. The first two football matches in connection with the Bash Rugby Union's Senior Championship were played on Saturday last. Hubanui and Konini played a drawn game, at Hukariui, each side scoring three points. Mr Mcßobie was referee. Tbe matob played between Nireaba and Hamua, at Nireaba, resulted in a win for Hamua by 9 points to 3 points. Mr Pelling was referee. Tbe fixtures for next Saturday are.—Hukanui v. Nireaba, at'Nireaha; Konini v. Hamua, at Hamua. Mr Mcßobie will referee at Hamua, and Mr Pelling has consented to aot as referee at Nireaba. A closely contested game is anticipated in each of theao matches.
