DECLENSION OF SPIRITUAL LIFE. THE SPANISH MARRIAGE CONDEMNED. "AN OUTRAGE UPON CHRISTIAN FEELING." KING EDWARD BLAMED FOR DISHONOURING THE SABBATH. Received May 21, 10.48 p.m. LONDON, May 21. The Committee of tbe Free Cburoh of Scotland has attributed the declension of spiritual life to the worldliuess of sooiefcy, and fco the workmen's tendenoy to irreligion, socialism and rationalism. It also condemned the marriage of King Alfonso and Princess Ena, as an outrage upon Christian feeling, and deplored the advent of a Continental Sunday. The Committee further blamed King Edward for dishonouring the Sabbath, both at Home and abroad. The newspaper Scotsman condemns the lack of wisdom, modesty and good sense displayed by the Committee.
