A BARQUE BURNT AT SEA.
AN OFFICER AND EIGHT MEN MISSING. Received May 20, 3.32 d m. LONDON, May. 19. The barque Pitcairn Island, bound from Wellington to London, has been burnt at sea in latitude 52 south, longtitude 90 west. The captain, an officer, and ten of the orew landed at Poi'fc Maullio, Chili. The first officer and eight men, who escaped in another boat, are missing. THE INSURANCES. Received May 20, 5 p.m. LONDON, May 19. The estimated insurances on the Pitcairn Island amount to £120,000.
