ALFREDTON AND EKETAHUNA SALES. • ! Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at Alfredtnu, on Thursday, aud at Eketnbuna, yesterday. At Alfredtoii there was only a small yarding, tbo swollen creeks preventing several lines from '.otning forward. At Ekefcahuna the entries of sheep wore considerably in excess of advertised numbers. The attendance of buyers was good, and biddniß spirited, only two lines of lambs failing to sell. In cattle the demand was poor, and most lots were passed out unsold. At Aifredton a line of fat 2-tooth wethers, on account of the Alpaas Estate, reached 18s; on other vendors'account, prime 4-tooth wethers 19a, 18-months heifers 30s, fat hoifers 92s 6d, empty cows 32s Gd. At Eketahuna well forward wethers sold at 15s 7d, good G'and S-tooth breeding owes 13s Id to;iss, others 12a, good woolly lambs 10a 8.1 to 103 lOd, shorn lambs 7s to 8a Id, heifers in calf 47s Gd, forward cows 50s.
