MR SEDDON VISITS HAWKESBURY COLLEGE. A COMPARISON. LINCOLN COLLEGE NOT A POPULAR INSTITUTIuN. Received May 18, 1.25 a.m. SYDNEY, May 17. Mr Seddon visited the Hawkesbury Agricultural College, and received an enthusiastic welcome from the students. Mr'Secidon said he was glad to find that all classes were represented in the College. In Lincoln College only the large farming classes were represented—in other words Lincoln College was not a popular institution, such as existed here. Mr Seddon suggested that twenty students from the Hawkesbury College should be sent to Lincoln College, and promised to ask the authoriseo at Lincoln College to send twenty students to the Hawkesbury College. Such a scheme would produce an invaluable interchange of ideas with [regard to the difference in the farmina conditions between New South Wales and New Zealand. He was prepared to state that if the New South Wales Govern ment would defray the expenses of sending their students, that the New Zealand Government would defray the expenses of the New Zealanders. The State is entertaining Mr Seddon at a private dinner to-night.
