Noble, the weil known orioketer, dealing with the cricket dispute from a player's viewpoint, says:—As the Board of Control recently tendered an invitation to the Marylebone Club to «end a team tj Australia, which the Marylebone Club could not see its way to accent on account of the bo»«rd being a body not representative of the cricket interests of the Siates, players feel justified in accepting tho invitation from the Melbourne Cricket Club to compete against a team introduced by that body. Their action is taken after due consideration and with the belief that the Melbourne Club should have the support of all in each State interested iu tho welfare of international orioket. The players believe that it will be acknowledged by the public that it is highly desirable in the interests of Australian cricket that a representative English team crioket should be induced to visit Australia during the season.
