GERMANY AND THE NATIVES. Received May 13, 10.40 a.m." CAPETOWN, May 12. The Germans drove the Chief Morenga over the British border at longditude 20. A trooper. of the Cape police warned the German officer, but the latter fought on, wounding Moronga severely. Twenty-seven Hottentots were killed and many wounded, but Morenga got away, and is now hiding.
