QUOITS.

OPAKI CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent). After being postponed for a week on account of the unfavourable state of the weather, the quoit oontest passed off most successfully at Mr McLeod'a mill ou Saturday last. The attendance w&> not quite as large as usual, but both the men's and ladies' matohes were keenly contested. Tn« ladiea played the usual handicap game for Messrs Dalgety and Co.'fl tropbj. Miss V. Petersen played splendidly and eventually won, Mrs Searle being second. Miss Tankersley and Miss A. Wyeth having each previously scored a break of 63, played off for the trophy given by Mr J. Cotter for the lady putting on the biggest break during the past year. The oontest was finally won by Miss Wyeth. Twenty men entered for the competition, whioh resulted as follows : —Seniors: S. Tankersley 1, Koy Tankersley 2, A. Searle 3. Juniors: Basil Campbell 1, N. Capmell 2, J. Olune 3. It was decided that all games lor Mi Wyeth's medal were to be finished by Saturday, 19th instant, and the ladies' competition for Mrs Wyeth's gold brooch, at Mikimiki, on the 26tb. Mr Nicholson, captain of the Men's Club, proposed the usual vote of thanks to the ladies for their kindness in serving afternoon tea. Following is the second drawing for Mr J. Campbell's trophy, to be played of by the 26th instant:—E. Petersen v. N. Campbell, T. Wyeth, jnr. v. N. Wyeth, H. tJbristensen v. A. Chamberlain, S. Tankersley v. McKenzie, Q. Welch v. Clune, R. Tankersley v. H. Duokett, A. Petersen v. Searle.
