TREE-PLANTING.
With the tree planting season at hand, the question of selecting the best and most suitable trees is most important. In this connection Mr E. Hale, of the Wairarapa Nurseries, draws particular attention to his flue stook of fruit, shelter and ornamental trees, which aie all hardy and should give satisfaotoiy results. The fruit growing industry is undoubtedly a most important one in tnis district, and it is always likely to be, so long as the right care is shown in the selection of the best trees. In this direction Mr Hale has specially catered for the demands of the public, and his stock of fiuit trees includes all the leading varieties, which are well-grown, and quoted at reasonable prices. Piuus insignup, of which there are over 50,000 to choose from, are quoted at 10s pe 100, while there are several thousand laurels for sale at from 15s to 30a per 100. In flowering shrubs the selection is most oomplete, the stock of roses being worthy of speoial mention. The best quality of flower pots in sizes ranging from five to nine inches, are also quoted at Wellington prices. The W.F.C.A are the Masterton agents for the Wairarapa Nurseries.
