A telegram from Wellington, last evening, stated that MoLacblan, the professional champion sprinter of New Zealand, and R. Hourigan, of New South Wale 9, met yesterday in a 120 yardß match for £SO aside. Hourigan won by four inohes in 12seo. 1 A Coroner's inquiry into the circumstances attending the fire in West Street, Auckland, in which a cottage owned by Mrs Margaret Walker was partially destroyed, has concluded. Detective MacMahon, corroborated Constable Cox's statement regarding the oil-soaked flax, and disoovery of doors with "shot" bolts. The jury returned a verdict that the building was set on fire by some person are persons unknown.
