CARLTON CRICKET CLUB.
A meeting of'the Social Committee of the above Club was held in Mr Chenuells* office last evening. Mr E. Welch presided, and there were also present—Messrs W. Denby, W. Harding, Kemble Welob, H. Welch, J. Waters and tne joint secretaries, Messrs F. P. Welch and T. Flaws. ADologies for absence were received from Messrs W. Piatt and C. Corbett. The following ladies were eleoted to the Ladies' Social Committee, subject to their approval, with power to add—Mesdames J. Welch, junior, W. Piatt, J. Coradine, Giddings, W. Barlow, E. Collier, O. Corbett J. O'Meara, W. Whittaker, F. P. Welch, & Welcb, Petersen, and the Misses Edith Welch, Ruby MoLacblan, Leonard, O'Leary, L. Wickens, H. Wickens, Whelch. Scrim jeour, Holloway, Reside and Brown. It was decided to hold meetings of the Social Committee every Wednesday evening in Mr Chennell's office up to the date of the Social, May 31st. It was stated at the meeting that the arrangements were already well in hand for the social, and that there wero indiuations that the function this year would even bo a greater success than those of former years.
