ANNUAL MEETING.. j The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Rugby Union was held, at Carterton, on Saturday evening. Present—Messrs A. B. 'Charters (chairman),'D. K. Logan and Maokellar (Masterton), T. Hoar and E. Collier (Red Star), F. O'Connor (Tbursi day Union), E. MoKenzie, J. Nicholl and K. Armstrong (Carterton), D. Urly and T. McMaster (Greytown), Manning and Taylor (Martinborough). Balfour and S. Parker (Tuhirangi). The annual report and bala&ce sheet, the latter showing a credit of £1 3s 6d, on the motion of - the were unanimously adopted. 1 . The following nominations of teams were received :--Masterton: Senior aud Junior. Carterton: Senior and Third-Class. Greytown: Senior and Junior. Red Star: Senior and Junior. Albion : Senior. Martinborough: Junior. Tuhirangi: Junior. The Albion Saturday team was admitted to the Union and for this season only is to be allowed to retain the present Albion colours except in any match against Greytown. The election of officers resulted as follows:—-Patron: Mr W. C. Buchanan (reelected). President, Mr E. M. D. Whatman (re-elected). Vice Presidents: Messrs W. P. James, J. McMaster, W. E. Bidwill, J. T. M. HornsKv, and W. J. Martin. Secretary: Mr G. W. Sellar. Treasurer: Mr D. K. Logan. Auditors: Messrs D. E. Parton and A. B. Charters. Management Committee: -Messrs E. MoKenzie, D. Udy, A. B. Charters, J. Nicholl, T. Hoar, Balfour and T. s McMaster, Senior Selection Committee: Messrs (J. Reid, A. S. Charters and D. Udy. Junior Selection Committee: Messrs J. Nioholl, F. Hawke, and J. Brunton. Delegate to New Zealand Rugby Union: Mr J. Eragni, Wellington. VicePresident New Zealand Rugby Union: Mr E. M. D. Whatmau. Appeal Committee: Messrs J. Cochrane, H. Booth and S. Nicholls. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, May 12th. The Junior Coinpetitioii was altered so as to provide competitions between the teams of the Northern and those of the Southern Division, the Waiobine River to be the boundary between the two divisions. The winning team of the Northern is to play off three matches with the leading team of the Southern Division, the absolute final to be played on neutral ground. , The drawings for the Senior and Junior fixtures will take place on Saturday, May sth. The Management Committee was direoted to go into ways and means of sending a team to Auckland this season. ' It was decided to adhere to the previous insuiance rules of the Union. The Secretary was instructed to endeavour to obtain fuitijer entries for the Junior Competition.
