Notice is hereby given that at i< Spacia Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council held" on the 9th day of April, 1906, it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the Masterton Borough Council nuke a By law under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," the object and purport of which By-law is as follows : Hotel and Public Building? By-law, 1906.—Providing that before beginning to erect, add to, alter, repair, or renew , any hotel, boarding-house, or public building, application for permission, with lull particulars and plans, shall be deposited with the Borough Surveyor.— That every such building shall be built , in brick with brick partitions, and the j externa* walls above the ground floor be set back two feet on each side from adjoining properties to provide means of escape in case of lire.—That every room shall be provided with a means of escape externally from tire.—No rooms (other than bath or lavatory) to front on any well or area on the building.—Plan to show the whole arrangement of building, system of lire escapes, and means of lire extinguishing. The said resolution will ha submitted for confirmation to the Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council to be held at the Council Chamber, Chapel Street, on TUESDAY, the Bth day of May, 1906. at 7.30 p.m , at which meeting the date of the coming into force of the By-laws will be fixed. Copies of the propoFcd Speci.il Orders and By-laws are deposited at the Town Clerk's Office, Chapel Street, where the same will be open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
