Tbe steamer Aramac, from Sydney, with sixty passengers on board, collided with the Prenon barque Nantes, anchored off Cape Sound, and sheltering from a heavy gale. Both vessels were considerably damaged, though insufficient to endanger their safety. '
Tbe Aramao came on to Melbourne.
A STORM IN NEW SOUTH WALES. - WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION. A WOMAN KILLED. Reoeived April 27 10.13 p.m. SYDNEY, April 27. A strong westerly gale blew all day but has now ceased. Rough seas are running and the tbipping is sheltering. ' The storm was especially severe on the South Coast, and at Bellambi a number of bouses oollapsed and many were damaged.
The roof of a shed was lifted bodily off a building and orusbed a Mrs Fleming to death. Woodoona, Bulli, Clifton, and other townships in tbe district report widespread destruction. . Coaling operations have been stopped owing to the rough sea.
