A COMPLAINT.

. (To the Editor). Sir,—-What's gone wrong With ths gasworks? The gas to-night is almost useless; .it is neoessary to burn 1 a candle in addition to the gas in order to read within ten feet of the gas jet. The gas has been very poor now for a considerable time past, especially in the early evening. I think that, with the knowledge, that - tbe proper authorities have of gas manufacture, they must know that tbe gas they are supplying is very unsatisfactory, and it ought not to be necessary for uaers to have to make the repeated complaints we hear. ' Trusting this taatter will receive the attention it deserves.—; Tours, etc., I<\ STAPLES. ' -
