INQUEST.
DUJBEDIN, April 18. An inquest was held, to-day, touching the death of George C. H. Victor Brookes, 15 yeais of age. The evidence showed that deceased had purchased a toy pistol and placed a cartridge in it. The hammer being stiff, deoeased plaoed the muzzle against bis stomach and tried to push the hammer back, when it slipped, and the charge exploded, .the bullet entering his abdomen and probably lodging in the muscles of the buok. . The jury returned a verdict of accidental death, with a rider expressing the desirahleness of some legislation enactment by which the indiscriminate sale of firearms, particularly to juveniles, "should be curtailed. '
