BOWLING.

The Pairs Bowling Tournament among the members of the Masterton Bowling Club waß held on the club's green, yesterday. The caretaker had the green in good order. Play commenced at 9.45 a.m. and continued until 6 o'clock. Many close and interesting games were played, and the tournament resulted, in a win for Oresswell and Cochrane (skip), who won the whole five games nlayedi Carpenter and Ewington fskip) won four games; C. King end Coradine (skip) four games; Mutrie and McEwen (skip) three games; Heacott and Gordon (skip) three games; Heesey and Rigg (skip) three games; Jioagey and Townsend (skip) two games; Williams and C. Perry (skip) two games; Finlayson and Dupre (skip) two games; Henderson and Yates (skip) nil; Long and Whittaker (Bkip) nil. Afternoon tea was dispensed by Mrs Cochrane, and was much appreciated by a number of visitors present on the ground.
