PARK COMMITTEE.
A meeting of tho Borough Park Committee was held last evening, there being present:—Crs Ewington (chairman), Temple, Hoar, Elliott and Morris. ► A letter wna received from the Mastertou Thursday Cricket Association stating that their season had closed, and that they had no further use for the ground this season. The question of certain footballers using the Park Oval on Saturday last without the consent of the oustodian, was mentioned, and it was decided to write to tho defaulters stating that tbey were trespassers by playing last Saturday, awd to ask for an explanation. It was decided that the oharge for the Oval this season to football clubs be £2 for each club, and £2 for eac'i Union desiring to nso the giound, and, that the fees be paid before May Ist, and euch feeo to be spent iu enlarging the practice ground. it was decided to recommend the Council to purchase a 30 inch horse lavcu mowor.
The Masterton Football Club were granted the uja of the Park Oval on April 14th. Accounts amounting to £lO 7s 8d were recommended for payment.
