Auctioneers' Memoranda.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile advertise additions.to their Masterton and Taratabi sales. At the Bannister Street auction mart, this afternoon, Mr J. R. Nlcol will hold a clearing sale of groceries and furniture, particulars of which axe given in an advertisement. A fine collection of oil paintings of New Zealand scenery by a leading artist, will also be sold without reserve. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, advertise additions to their Eketahuna stock-sale. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, add several lines of sheep to their Masterton stock sale.

OUR RECIPES.

MEAT ROLL. Mix together half a pound of minced raw veal, a quarter of a pound of mioed lean bacon, three ounces of bread crumbs, and one egg; make into a roll, fasten in a cloth tied at each end, and boil for two hours.
