A PROGRESSIVE BUSINESS.

♦ —— ■ MR R.J. LYTTLE. Elsewhere Mr B. J. Lyttle, the well-known paper-hanger and signwriter, draws public attention to the fact tint he has decided to add to his already extensive business a picture-framing btanoh, wbioh will be auder capable management. Mr Lyttle recently took over the business of .Mr A. Kitto, in Queen Street, and it is his intention to supply everything in keeping with the trade. A business combining painting, paper-hanging and pio-ture-framing is a new departure for Masterton, as there is no combined business of the kind in the town, though there is not the least doubt that the different "lines" can be most successfully run in conjunction. The shop is one of the most centrally - situated in the block known as "Gillespie's Buildings," and will in future be known as "The Masterton Picture-Framing Works, Paperhanging Warehouse and Art Repository." To the already extensive stock of paperhangings held, several bales of the latest art designs in wallpapers and friezes, shortly to arrive direct from English and French manufacturers, are to be added, and will be one of the best selections of papers to be found in the distriot. Mr Lyttle has on hand, at the present time, some important contracts, including the painting, papering and glazinc of new premises for Mr J. L. Murray, the new residence for Dr. A. Hoaking, and three new shop* in Lower Queen Street, and other works. Mr Lyttle is to be congratulated upun the enterprise that he is showing, , wbioh is in keeping with iho rapid growth of the town, and his many patrons and friends will wish him every success in his new venture. ,
