JAPAN.
EXPLOSION IN A COLLIERY. TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY \PEOPLE KILLED. Received March 30, 8.43 a.m. TOKIO, March 29. An explosion ocourred in a colliery at Takashima, ten miles west of the entrance of Nagasaki, and the centre of important coalfields. Two hundred and sixty people were killed.
