OHRISTOHURCH, March 26.

Ihe orioket match, New Zealand v. Melbourne, was brought to a conclusion, at Lancaster Park, to-day, and ended in a draw, greatly in favour of the visitors. The weather was fine, but a cold sou'-west gale was blowing all day, which prevented the bails being used most of the time. JSfew Zealand, with 151 runs to the bad on the first Innings, began their second venture, whioh olosed at 4.20 p.m., for 167. Melbourne only required 17 runs to win, but owing to the North Island representatives in the team having to leave Chrlstohurch by the 5.25 train, for Lyttelton, it was agreed to draw Btumps at half past four. In New Zealand's second innings Tucker scored 43 not out, Graham 36 Lusk 29, Monaghan 17, Dbwnes 15, Hiokson 8, Redgrave 7, Boxshall 5, and Ollivier, BrooseSmith and Malone each nil. Arm strong secured four wickets for 72, Molieod four for 76, Butler one for nine, and Laver one for three. The final scores were:— New Zealand, 77 and 167; Melbourne, 228.
