Ad Australian, who has returned on a visit here after ten years' mining experience in Johannesburg, says the abolition of Chinese labour means a loss of employment to many thousands of white men. The report of crimes by and bad behaviour of the Chinese are, he says, greatly exaggerated. The mass of cooiies are well behaved and do their work well. He also states that the reports regarding ill-treatment by mineowners are untrue.
