ARREST OF A BANKRUPT.

INVEROARGILL, March 25. Montague, who was arrestetd at Uobart, on a warrant for leaving New Zealand with the property of his creditors, was* brought to Invercargill, to-day, by Detective Mellveney. Diffloultie9 were experienced in serving the ordur for Montague's extradition. An interesting point of law was argueil before the Judge, and it setms very doubtful whether a fugitive offender can be legally extradited from the Commonwealth to New Zealand. The difflouty, however, was got over in Montague's case by the latter deciding to withdraw an appeal against extradition.
