EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
CHKISTCHURCH, Maroh 26.1 The statement for the fortyseventh week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's Egg laying Competition, at Lincoln College, shows that 318 eggs were laid during the week makiug a total to date of 29,318. Following are the best totals for the week:—H. Hawke's Silver £ Wyandottes, 19; A. Tyree'e Black Orpington's, jls: H. C. Lane's Silver Wyandottes, 14. The following are the highest totals to date:— H. Hawke's Silver Wyandottes, I,182; Ji H. Shaw's, Brown Leghorns, 1,001; J. Mann's White Wyandottes, 947.
