Tbe wool sold fur Home consumption amounts to 67,500 bales; that sold for consumption on the Continent amounted to 45,000 bales; and for America 11,000 bales. There was held over 7,000 bales. All classes olosed at tbe bigbe-t rates of tbe series. Compared with January dosing rates choice meiino advanced 5 per cent., medum 7%. to 10 per oent., faulty fully 10 per cent., fine to medum orossbreds fully 10 per cent., medium to coarse 12% to 15 percent., sooureds 10to.15percent., merino lamb 5 per oent, crotsbreds 15 per oent. The primary causes of the improvement in tbe market are increased consumption and legitimate demand. The only danger in the situation is that the high prioes may oheok business. Tbe Omarama olip brought ll%d, Puketoi 13d, Akitio 13% d, Tiraumea 12% d, Taunui 14fcd, Hall, 15% d.
