STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.,' held a sale at Mr Heokler's yards, Mangamahoe, on Tuesday, 'where entries fell somewhat short of advertised numbers. There was only a small attendance of buyers, and bidding lacked spirit, moßt lines being passed in, though the bulk of the entries changed hands subsequently. Two-tooth wethers sold from 13s 6d to 11a, culled ewes 5s to 7s, lambs 5s to 7s, weaners 5s to 15s, and yearlings 30s 6d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report at their Mangamaboe stock sale, yesterday, at Mr Heckler's yards:—We had a full yarding in sheep, embracing all classes. The absence of outside buyers' caused the bidding to lack animation, . the bulk of the pens being passed; however, by private treaty we made a clearance with one exception. The best figure obtained for ewes was 12s, others ranging from lis down to 9s, 8s and 5s 6d for culls. The lambs offered were medium and small, prices ruling from 7s down to 2s Gd for very small. Small wethers made 13s, Lincoln rams 2gns each, Bom neys from £l. Ponies, £4 to £8 10s. Cattle wore almost unsale--1 able.
