THE COLLIERS' STRIKE. MEN URGED TO REMAIN CALM. Received March 19, 8.?0 a.m. PARIS, Maroh 18. M. Clemenoeau, Minister of the Interior, conferred with the Labour Federation, at Courrieres. He promised to respect the men's right to strike, and not to send troops to the scene unless disturbances occurred, but he urged the strikers to remain calm. FORTY THOUSAND MEN OUT. MINERS REFUSE TEN PER CENT. RISE. Received Maroh 19, 10.47 p.m. PARIS, March 19. Forty thousand French miners have struck, after refusing the ten percent, rise.
