The steamer Ruapehu, of the New Zealand Shipping .Company's fleet, put up a record steaming performance on the recent run from London. She left the Home port on January 24tb, and arrived at Capetown a day ahead of time table date. On the run from Hobart to Wellington, she recorded four dayslhr 30min, whidb is the best performance for ships of the company's fleet.
