NEW ZEALAND ROWING ASSOCIATION.
WELLINGTON, March 16. A general meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Kowing Association was held to-night, when the matter of allowing Australian oarsmen and others from abroad to compete at the New Zealand Championship regattas was disoussed. It was resolved "that nothing contained in any of the rules of the Association shall be held to prevent amateur oarsmen from other countries competing at regattas held under the auspices of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association, piovided the approval of the Council has been first obtained." The Association has received a letter from the Canterbury Asso* ciation applying for the 1906-7 re" gatta, to be held at Lake Forsyth. This will be considered at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Association.
