The Wellington Employers' Aaao ciation, on Monday evening' approved a draft oopy of a letter which is to be forwarded to the Premier, traversing Mr Seddon's statements as to the reasons for the abandonment of the Labour Conference. It is claimed in the letter that the wide range of, subjects set down for discussion would mean an altogether too lengthy conference for employers to devote their time to. It was also pointed out that there was an absence of any promise from the Premier that he would be prepared to support the Recommendations and resolutions of the conference, and endeavour to have them placed on the statute books. If resolutions were passed that were not in keeping with the policy and opinions of the Ministry, there is, the letter says, every reason to believe tbey would be ignored, while those that met ' with the approval of the Minister for Labour would, no doubt, be eagerly adopted. It is denied that the Employers' Association were responsible for the abandonment of the conference. The only demand made by the Employers' Associations was for more definite information regarding the scope of the conference and the fate of any resolutions tnat might be adopted by it. The replies of the Labour Department tosuon inquiries were mostly indefinite. BHEUMO Has cured hundreds of ca3es of rheuma tism, rheumatio gout, lumbago, "and sciatica all over New Zealand.
