V.R.C. RACES, by Telegraph—Press Association. Received March 10, 7.25 p.m. FLEMINGTON, March 10. Following are the results of today's racing:— Champion Stakes—Tartan 1, Prooeeder 2, Soot Free 3. Blue Spec was the only other starter. Betting: sto 1 on Tartan, 10 to 1 against Soot Free ana Blue Spec, 20 to 1 Proceedor. Proceeder led the first time round, and into the stragnt. Tartan made the running at the distance, and eventually won by a head. Time. smm Farewell Handicap— Roboroft 1, Gladoorae 2, Wauden 3. Won by a head. Time, lmin 42%5e0. i
TINUI RACES.
(Special to Age.) The annual unregistered race meeting was held at Castlepoint on Saturday in glorious weather. The attendance was large, and the finishes very dose. The arrangements were complete. Messrs N. O'Kane and A. Mason did excellent work, while Messrs A. McHutchon (judge) and H. Newoombe (starter) gave every satisfaction. All the'wins were, well received, especially that of Dr Hunter. Results:— Maiden Handicap—Mr P. Southy's Starlight (owner), 1; Mr B. Sohofield's Dauntless (A. Chong) 2. Whakataki Stakes—Mr O. Stilborn's General Nogi (A. Chong), 1; Mr H Munro's Omaga (J. Phillips), 2. Pony Race—Mr T. Greenland's Otunui (J. Phillips), 1; Mr Walker's Puhakata (M. Dunn), 2. * Castlepoint Cup—Mr C. StiJbom's General Nogi (A. Chong), 1; Mr P. Southy's Starlight (owner), 2;- Dr Hunter's Miss Nancy (Tootel), 3. Flying Handioap—Mr H. Munro's Omaga (J. Fhillips), 1; Mr P. Southy's Starlight (owner), 2.
