WEDDING.

STA N DISH—LA N G DON.

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew's Chuicb, Master ton, on Tueßday last, the contracting parties being Mr. Morris Standisb, eldest son of Mr A. Standish, barrister, of New Plymouth, and Miss Annie Langdon, eldest daughter of Mr W. Langdon, of Lansdowne, and formerly of Montacute, Tasmania. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a becoming dress of white silk, handsomely trimmed with lace and chiffon, the gift of her uncle, Judge Molutyie, of Hobart. The bride was attended by her two Bisters, Misses Mary and Helle LangdoD, her cousin Miss Millie Richards, and Miss Ethel Standisb, sister of the bridegroom. Miss Belie Langdon was diessedj in pink flower muslin voile, and Miss Standisb iu a pale blue voile, and both wore hats of a creairi shade, trimmed with pink roses, while the Misses Kichards and Mary Laugdou wore dresses of white maslin, with quaint hats trimmed with pink daises. Each of the bridesmaids carried baskets of flowers, which they strevsed before the newly-wedded couple, as they were leaving the Church. Mr Russell Standisb, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Mr W. .Langdon, jur., brother of the bride, as groomsman. The bride's and bridegroom's mothers wore handsome dresses of black satin and black crepe-de-chene, respectively, and both carried beautiful bouquets. Ihe bridegroom's present to the bride was a necklace with pearl pendant, and the bride's preseut to the br'degroom was a pair of Bilver mounted'field glasses. The other presents received were both numerous and valuable.and came from England and Tasmania, as well as New Zealand. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. M. Johnson, and Mr and Mrs Standisb lefv for Napier, and the Wanganui River, to spend their honeymoon, before returning to their-homeat Tarata, near New Plymouth.
