Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report on their sales this week as follows:
Eketahuna (Monday).—We bad. by far the largest entry of the season, and having filled all the available space in our usual yards, we penned about 1,000 sheep, besides cattle, in Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, yards, kindly lent for the occasion. Bidding thoughout was spirited, and practically the whole catalogue was cleared under the hammer. There was a keen demand for good ewes, wethers, and forward iambs, but store lambs were somewhat easier., In cattle, though a number were disposed of, several lines were passed out unsold. Good 2 and 4tootb wethers sold to 14s 7d, 2-tooth wethers 13s 6d to lis 3d. A good line of shorn, wether lambs sold at lis Id, other good lines 9s to 9s 3d, mediums 7s to 8s sd, culls 5s 7d to 6s 6d, good breeding ewes 13s to 14s 6d, medium 10s 3d to 12s 6d, 3 year steers 85s, 2 % -year steers 655, 18-months heifers 33s 6d, good calves 16s to 20s, weaners 14s to 15s, store cows 60s, weaner pigs 4s. Taratahi (Monday).— We had a fair entry at Taratahi, comprised obiefly of breeding ewes and lambs. The former, being mixed sorts, failed to sell. Shorn rape lambs went to 9s 3d. woolly stores to 8s sd. Alfredtou (Tuesday).—The entry of sbeepjwas considerably in excess of any previous sale for this season, all available pens being occupied. The attendance of buyers was large, and every pen, with two exceptions, were sold under tbe hammer. The passed ones were disposed of subsequently, making a complete clearance. In cattle we yarded a line of 78 3-year steers, on account Trustees Alpass' Estate, these selling at 955, others to 995. Prices for sheep were as follow:—Best breeding ewes 12s 6d to 14s, others 9s 5d to lis, shorn rape lambs 8s 6d to 9s 3d, shorn store lambs 8s to 8s 6d, woolly store lambs to 9s 9d, oulis 4s 7d to 5s Id, fat and forward ewes 12s 7d, 2-tooth wethers 13s 7d to 14s Id, 2 and 4tooth wethers 14s to 14s 3d, smaller 2-tooth wethers 12s to 12s 7d, 2-tooth ewes and wethers 14s 7d, full mouth Lincoln rams to lj^gn,
