There was a good attendance but it would nave been better but for the hail and thunder showera that fell at upon. The racing was the most interesting of the meeting. Gun wae the first to show out from Pompous. At the far turn Machine Gun dropped baok to third place, Meleon was first in tne straight. At the distance Gladsome caoie fast on the outside, and joined the leader, and after a fine raoe, won by three-quarters of a length. A head separated second and third. Machine Gun was sixth. DEATH OF GLADSOME'S TRAINER.
