NEW ZEALAND COMPETITION.

The total for the fort:/ third week of the New Zealand Egg*'laying Competition is 1,572, making a grand aggregate of 77,431, and a weekly average per head of 15.72. The highest layings for the week were: —Ashworth's Silver. Wyandottes, Alexandra, 34; Marlborough A. and P. Association, White Leghorns, 30; Leger's White Leghorns, Levin, 29. The order of merit in the grand aggregate is as follows:—Leger, 1,228; Brooks, South Australia, 1,106; Marlborough A. and P. Association, 1,098; Jonathan Hodson, Blenheim, 1,068; Mick Shaw, Blenheim, 1,061; Hockey's Brown Leghorns, Nelson, 1,029.
