SALE OF SHOW STOCK.
Messrs Dalgety aud Go., Ltd., held a sale at the showgrounds, yesterday, of fat stick, when a considerable number of fat sheep were offered, all selling under the hammer. Fat wethers reached 15s 6d to 178, fab ewes 15s to 15a 3d, fat cow £i 10s.
MASTERTON STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report on their Masterton stook sale as follows:—Notwithstanding th« sale being held on an off day we had a good yarding in both sheep and cattle. Bidding for sheep of all classes was good, and a total clearance was made at full rates. For sound breeding ewes the enquiry was good, and we could not satisfy the demand. Cattle dragged at auction but we quitted the tulk. of the yarding before the close of the sale. We quote:— Sheep—Rape lambs, woolly, 9s 6d to 10a 3d; shorn, 8s to 9s'ld; store lambs, woolly, 6s lrl to 7s 6d, shorn 5b to 6s; besv breeding ewes, 15s; others, 1.4s 4d , lis, 13s 6d, 12s Bd, lis 3d, down to 9s Id. Cattle — Fat cows, £5; fat and forward builooks, £5 10s to £6; 3-year bullooke, £i 10b to £5; 15-months heifers, 355. The bulk of Mr A. P. Whatman's entry of bullocks sold at £6.
