PETERSBURG. February 21. A nurnbor of Roman Catholic priests,, in Poland, are preaching poverty, and vegetarianism, the coming of anti-Christ, aud the approaching end of the world. They are, also, abusing bishops and denouncing the corruption among the higher clergy. The movement is spreading rapidly in the villages. The Socialists are ntilising the ferment to incite the peasantry against the clergy and, landlords. COUNT DE WITTE RESIGNS. A PROTEST AUAINST BRUTALITY.' Received February 21, 9.8 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 21. Three Liberal Ministers have been appointed. Count Sergius de Witte (Prime Minister) has resigned as a protest against M. Durcovo's reactionary methods. (The Berlin journal Vorwarts recently published the secret despatch of M. Durnovo, the Miniate? of the Interior, which instructed the Governors uf the provinces to exterminate and not to arrest rioters and burntheir houses. It was imperative, declared the despatch, to oppose the mon-' strous depotism of the revolutionaries by the strongest remedies, or I the Empire would De ruined).
