FOOTBALL.
MASTERTON CLUB. A meeting of the! Committee of the above Club was held in Messrs Gawith and Logan's office, last night It was decided to invite the Wellington Old Boys to play in Masteiton, on Easter Saturday, and to send a team to Wellington to meet Athletics, on the following Monday, if possible. The allotting of Mr Henderson's medal for the most useful player in the Senior team was held over until the annual meeting. It was resolved to hold the annual general meeting, in the Y.M O.A. rooms, on the last Friday in Maroh, and to have the report and balancesheet printed and circulated before that date. The Secretary was instructed to make application to the Boroush Couuoil for the use of ihs Oval during the coming season. • Messrs Logan and Cochrane were empowered to affix the Club's seal to the deed of covenant with the Gymnasium Committee. Several accounts were passed for payment. CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION. A RESOLUTION RESCINDED. By Telergaph—Press Association. CHRISTOHURCH, February 20. At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union, to-night, a resolution passed at tbe last meeting, refusing to refund to the New Zealand Union £4 6a alleged to be wrongfully spent in entertaining'the New Zea> land team, was rescinded, and it was resolved to pay the amount under protest, and to instruct tbe rte :< presentatives of the Canterbury' Union to bring the matter up at the next meeting of tbe New Zealand Rugby Union. 1 As a result of the previous refusal the Canterbury Union was suspended, and it was claimed that ?.tbe Canterbury members of the New Zealand team were, therefore, disqualified.
