THE PREMIER AT OAMARU.

OAMARU,- February 19. The Premier arrived by the Tutanekai this afternoon, and went to Ngapara, where a banquet was given to the Hon. T. Y. Duncan, Minister for Lands. Previous to the banquet the Premier.delivered a speech on the lines of those given at other places. He mentioned that the cor-, respondence between himself and Mr Moore over the extra shilling a day given to co-operative workmen before'the election was for camping and as soon as that was past it was withdrawn. There would be nothing more in it than that. Witb reference to tbe purchase of other estates, he made no statement beyond that in a few days he hoped to be able to eay that another estate olose to Ncapara had oeen purchased. Mr Seddon had a capital reoeption. The banquet was held later.
