THE MOSCOW UPRISING. REVOLUTIONARIES' METHODS. Received February 19, 9.14 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 19. Owing to the reluctance of the wealthy Liberals to continue to contribute towards the funds after the failure of the Moscow uprising, tbe revolutionaries are systematically robbing tbe banks, treasury 'offices, and brandy shops. A band killed four officials of the Treasury at and decamped with £2.000. Another band robbed the Union works at Ria of £l,lOO. EXPELLING UNDESIRABLES. Received February 19, 9.37, p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 19. Owing to the prisons all being full the Government is compelling employers to dismiss undesirables, who are then expelled from St. Petersburg. A PECULIAR CASE. Received February 19, 9.37 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 19. Lieut. Schmidt 'has refused food for six days because his relations were not alluwed to visit him in prison. His counsel intends to refuse to defend him on tbe ground tnat he is insane. Petitions are being forwarded to M. de Witte to stop the trial. . GENERALS RECALLED. Received February 19, 9.37 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 19. General Kuropatkin and Batianoff have been recalled from Manchuria. ACCOUNTS OF FURTHER* DISTURBANCES. Received February 19, 8.28 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, February 18. General Linievitch has resigned tbe command of be troops in tne East, owing to their failure to quell the disturbances. General Grodekoff succeeds him. Socialists in Poland pillaged five Government alcohol stores. Among tbe loot from one store was a sum of 5,000 roubles. Eight conspirators havo been arrested at Kieff for extorting money for revolutionary purposes by means of threatening letters signed ,by anarchists. While a railway truck from Vladivostok was unloading at the St, .Petersburg station, a case exploded, killing four persons- and setting fire to the truck, which contained 54 similar cases. The driver and brakeman prevented a disaster by shunting the truck to a siding, where it exploded harmlessly.
