WANGANUI MEETING. _____ WANGANUI, February 17. Glenullin was scratched, this morning, for the Wttuganui Cup. i ~ VICTORIAN RACING CLUB. THE OAKLEIGH PLATE. By Telegraph—Frees Association. Received February 17, 8.48 p.m. MELBOURNE, February 17. Muggy weather prevailed for the summer meeting of the Victorian Racing Club. Results were as follows: Oakkigb Plate.—Wandiu 1, Decollete 2, Step Out 3. There were 19 starters, letting—Three to cue against Istria, seven to two North wood, seven to Oc-e Condor, twenty to one against the placed horses. From an excellent start Northwood made the running to the turn of tbe straight, where Waudin was second. Tbe latter took charge at tho distance from Step Out and Decolete, and won easily. Time, 1m in 8 sec. Received February 18, 4.41 p.m. SYDNEY; February 17. St. George Stakes.—Lady Wal lace 1, Gladsome 2, Scot Free 3. Betting—Two to one Gladsome, three to one Wallace. The race resolved itself into a match between the first two placed horses, who made a terrific race home. Won by a head. Time, linin 50%6iec.
