WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB.
' AUTUMN MEETING
The programme of the Wairarapa Racing Club's autumn raoe meeting ie one of the mo9t attractive yet issued by this Club, and shows that the Stewards' have been exceptionally liberal in the allocation of the stakes. The total money value for the coming meeting is 1,195 sovs, of which sum 760 sovs has been awarded to (the first, and 735 sovs to the seooud day's events. In this nearly even allocation the Stewards are to be congratulated, and owners will appreciate the Club's efforts in this reßpeot. The principal events for the first day will be the Easter Handicap, 200 sovs, and the Welter Handicap 115 sovs; for the second day the Autumn Handicap, 150 sovs, Kototawai Handicap, 115 sovs, and the Stewards Handicap, 100 sovs, are the principal races The other event are awarded from 60 sovs to 85 sovs. Since the last meeting the Stewards have made further improvements to the course, and appointments, and with holiday weather prevailing, this year's Easter meeting may be expected to excel that of former years. Nominations for all events and entries for the Maiden Hack close with the Secretary, Mr E. A. Laery, Feateraton, at 8 p.m., on Monday, March 26th next.
