Mr John Wren, who baa lately had -a dispute with the Victorian Racing Club, has written to the Premier offering to rent the Flemington Raceoonrse, at £25,000 a year, paying two years' rent down. He undertakes to give aft least two race meetings a year for charitable purposes, to increase the stakes for all events, making tbe Melbourne Cup £IO,OOO, to conserve tbe rights of members, and to pay a wage of four shillings a day more than that paid by the V.R.C. Tbe Premier has not yet replied.
